Lou Kimmel (1905-1973) was one of America's most prolific illustrators whose reputation was exceeded only by N.C. Wyeth and Norman Rockwell. Called 'a painter's painter' by his colleagues he was often cited for his 'quick draw' technique and expressive brush work.
